I hope all is well. Back in February 2014 I started a strength training, cardio and flexibility home video program called ChaLean Extreme and loved it!  Unfortunately, I stopped after I finished the 90 days program, and went to comfort food and was not taking care of myself. So in short, I gained weight back after that hard work.  I had my personal issues to why this happened, but in effect, I need to get back to where I was, or my sugar and cholesterol levels are going through the roof and then I’m in for more serious health issues. So I am going to start this 90 day program again, and I know it works and I need to keep with it after I’m done and continue a long term lifestyle change. So follow my 153 pounds currently and how I lose the weight to lose a goal of 20 pounds……..It’s all about staying healthy and maintaining when I hit my goal so I am going to do another round of 90 days starting this week, then I will clearly be at my goal and happily healthy by early wintertime. It’s not about the number on the scale, it’s how I am getting stronger and fit! What’s your focus this week? Don’t forget we can work together! It is free and open to all fitness levels and will be from 2 – 3 pm on Mondays starting back up in September 2014!… It’s a great way to work out together and keep accountable…. Take aways:   Yes, nuts have calories, but they can easily be incorporated into a healthy diet when eaten in proper portions. A 2011 study in the Journal of The American College of Nutrition backs this up, with researchers finding that nut consumers, especially tree-nut consumers (think almonds, pecans and pistachios) had a lower BMI and smaller waist circumference compared to non-consumers.

Things that stands out for me seem pretty clear:  Don’t Skip Breakfast and eat fish at least once a week, for the Omega 3 fatty acids to keep the heart healthy…..

8/12/13 Update- my journey to 120 lbs

I did well in July and am rocking August so far!  I  started the week strong with a Hip Hop ABs workout….I am down 8 pounds and am at 140!

(from 148 earlier in July).  So what’s working since July 1st, is what I’ll continue to do!  It’s all about staying healthy and maintaining when I hit my goal….What’s your focus this week? Don’t forget we can work together through this summer and make it a healthy safe one!

Been doing well in July so far!   Started the week strong with a Turbo Jam workout….I am down 5 pounds and am at 143! (from 148 earlier this month).  So what’s working since July 1st, is what I’ll continue to do!  What’s your focus this week? Summer Fun!

Hi all, hope things are going well, it is now Summer, and the heat is on!  I plan on staying active and making my goal by October!  What is your goal or goals?  I have so many resources at my disposal, local rec center where I can take a walk on the track and use the elliptical machine, I have numerous home workout videos to pop in at any time. And I like to take a walk outside when the weather is nice (before the heat of the day sets in)…. So no excuses, this is what I am striving for..Can I  help you?  What are your struggles?  Just Focus!  Stay tuned…..
