Yes! After my third full week of a strength training, cardio and flexibility home video program called ChaLean Extreme, I’ve lost 4 pounds! I’ve gone from my highest weight of 154 to 150.   It’s all about staying healthy and maintaining when I hit my goal so I am going to complete this round of 90 days for this program. My focus is on eating clean at least 85% of the time. What are your struggles?  weight goes up and down, but I want to end that cycle, by keeping consistent and be fit for life! I will then be clearly be at my goal and happily healthy by early wintertime. It’s not about the number on the scale, it’s how I am getting stronger and fit!  What’s your focus this week? Don’t forget we can work together! I am excited that I host a “Fit Club” at my local church in Fitchburg, MA. It is free and open to all fitness levels and will be from 2 – 3 pm on Mondays starting back up in October 2014!… It’s a great way to work out together and keep accountable…. I hope all is well. Back in February 2014 I started a strength training, cardio and flexibility home video program called ChaLean Extreme and loved it!  The problem is that after I did well with it, I stopped exercising and went to comfort food. Take aways:   Yes, nuts have calories, but they can easily be incorporated into a healthy diet when eaten in proper portions. A 2011 study in the Journal of The American College of Nutrition backs this up, with researchers finding that nut consumers, especially tree-nut consumers (think almonds, pecans and pistachios) had a lower BMI and smaller waist circumference compared to non-consumers.

Things that stands out for me seem pretty clear:  Don’t Skip Breakfast and eat fish at least once a week, for the Omega 3 fatty acids to keep the heart healthy…..

8/12/13 Update- my journey to 120 lbs

I did well in July and am rocking August so far!  I  started the week strong with a Hip Hop ABs workout….I am down 8 pounds and am at 140!

(from 148 earlier in July).  So what’s working since July 1st, is what I’ll continue to do!  It’s all about staying healthy and maintaining when I hit my goal….What’s your focus this week? Don’t forget we can work together through this summer and make it a healthy safe one!

First ask me to add you to my facebook group (you’ll then be able to check in with that group all the time to post notes/concerns/questions and we can keep each other accountable!) and then choose 1 or 2 options:
